Rumours of their death are rather exaggerated

Well, the horse's mouth (James at Banbury Park, their rep at the record company) says the Silver Hearts have not, after all, contrary to this earlier post broken up. Rather, they're (1) about to release their Rain Dogs interpretation, in August, and (2) about to record another album. And they're still touring, though the plan is now to do fewer shows—I quote, to "play a smattering of great shows here and there".

I consider this ver' good news. Waits' Rain Dogs and the Hearts, all on one disk? A few of my favourite things.
